Meet Our Founder & CEO
Our parent company, F.L. Malik, was founded in the year 1986 by the epitome of intelligence & beauty, Frances Lynn Malik. The brand name you know & love, Ivy Jane, began in the year 1993 once her greatest inspiration was born, her beloved daughter Ivy Jane. The Ivy Jane collection reflects the adventure of life we can all experience when see through a forever young mind.
Frances' inspiration also greatly stems from her mother's heritage, which was significantly imprinted on her at a young age. Her mother's family, who were members of the Osage Indian Tribe, were heavily influenced with embroidery & embellishments, which has been carried throughout her designs for the past 30 years. In addition to Frances' daughter & mother's key roles in her inspiration, she's also inspired by the beauty she finds in her personal life; Such as music, media, vintage pieces, and more. Frances created a brand identity that entails innovative designs that are curated for the modern individual. By seamlessly blending classic elegance with contemporary trends, she curates pieces that embody the essence of family ties & individual style.
The company mission for Ivy Jane is to empower women to feel confident, beautiful, and be unapologetically themselves. Frances believes that, "clothing heavily reflects our emotions" & should be worn with pride & boldness in a uniquely individual way. This mission can be widely viewed through her innate attention to detail & thoughtful design.
Meet The Family - Brands
A Message From Ivy
She wrote, "To have the creative spirit and maintain the crazy life she (Frances) has is simply unbelievable. I couldn't imagine a stronger woman in my life...other than my grandmother, Wanda. My grandma supported five young daughters in South Texas on a postal worker salary and a cotton field that every daughter would help harvest. Wanda taught her daughters that she would do anything to make her children succeed..." and when, "Frances wanted to go to design school when the odds were financially against them, she pushed for my mom to make her dreams come true no matter what!"
Ivy continues on to write that, "Super heroes don't have capes. They are women like these who have fought all their lives to live out their dreams and to ensure the dreams of their children. I am truly honored to be apart of that legacy! I'm so proud of both of y'all and I'm proud to have those same "bohemian" dreams!"
